Hello, I'm finalizing my test and almost ready to buy the app TKaraokeUSB for my ShieldTV.

I would like to know how to generate the thumbnail for local songs? All the local song that the app was able to scan have no thumbnail generated.

Thanks

If there are no embedded thumbnails, there might not be a direct way to generate them within TKaraokeUSB. However, you could try using media players on your ShieldTV that allow adding custom thumbnails to local videos/songs. Kodi is a popular media player that might offer this functionality.

There may not be an obvious way to create thumbnails in USB if they are not already there. But there are media players available for your ShieldTV that let you make your own thumbnails for local videos and music.

It was eventually removed through some tinkering. Your gratitude is appreciated.

To generate thumbnails for local songs in TKaraokeUSB, you can follow these steps:

  1. Make sure your local songs are properly organized and stored in a location that TKaraokeUSB can access.

  2. Open TKaraokeUSB on your ShieldTV.

  3. Navigate to the "Local Songs" section or wherever your local songs are stored within the app.

  4. Select the song for which you want to generate a thumbnail. You should see an option or button that allows you to edit or manage the song's details.

  5. Look for an option specifically labeled "Generate Thumbnail" or something similar. This option may be located in the song's settings or options menu.

  6. Click on the "Generate Thumbnail" option, and the app should automatically generate a thumbnail image for the selected song.

  7. Repeat this process for each local song for which you want to generate thumbnails.

You can check for embedded thumbnails. If thumbnails aren't embedded, I suggest using a different media player on ShieldTV that allows adding custom thumbnails to your local karaoke files like Kodi.
